Maybe the season isn’t only about what you’re waiting for. Maybe it’s also about who you’re becoming while you wait.

You asked God to change the situation.

But have you considered that while you’re waiting for the situation to change, God may be doing a work in you?

Some seasons don’t just produce answers—they produce maturity.

They teach you how to pray when you don’t see results.

How to trust when you don’t understand.
How to remain faithful when it’s uncomfortable.
How to have peace without having all the answers.

Sometimes we’re so focused on getting out of a season that we miss what God is developing in us through the season.

Patience.
Endurance.
Wisdom.
Discernment.
Character.
And ultimately—hope.

So instead of only asking,
“God, when will this change?”

Maybe we should also ask,
“God, what are You teaching me while I’m here? What are You developing in me that I’ll need for where You’re taking me?”

Don’t waste the season because you’re waiting for the next one.

Let God do the work in you, too.

SEPTEMBER: HOPE AGAIN.

As we step into a new month, this is for the person who has been believing God, praying, waiting, and wondering when things are going to change.

Maybe disappointment has made you hesitant to expect again.

Maybe the waiting has been longer than you imagined.

Maybe somewhere between what you prayed for and what you have actually seen, your expectation started getting quieter.

But hear this:

HOPE AGAIN.

Not because everything around you has changed.
Not because every prayer has already been answered.
Not because you know exactly what tomorrow will bring.

Hope again because you know who God is.

He is still faithful.
He is still sovereign.
He still has all power, dominion, and authority.
And He is still the God of hope.

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
— Romans 15:13 KJV

Abound in hope.

Don't allow disappointment to have the final word. Don't let what hasn't happened yet convince you that God has stopped working.

This September:

Pray again.
Believe again.
Dream again.
Expect again.

HOPE AGAIN.

Your hope isn't anchored in September, a date, a person, an opportunity, or a circumstance.

Your hope is anchored in GOD.

The God you trusted yesterday is still God today.

Whatever you're carrying into this new month, don't leave your hope behind.

As this Sunday comes to a close, here’s something for all of us to carry into the new week:

Kindness is imperative.
Compassion is imperative.
Loving one another is imperative.

You never truly know what someone is carrying behind the smile you see, the post you scroll past, the person sitting beside you, or even the person who seems like they have it all together.

Some people are fighting battles they haven't told anyone about.
Some are grieving quietly.
Some are trying to hold their families together.
Some are simply asking God for enough strength to make it through another day.

So be careful with people.

Be kind when you could be harsh.
Show compassion when it would be easier to judge.
Choose love even when no one is watching.

We live in a world where people are quick to criticize, quick to dismiss, and quick to tear one another down. But those of us who belong to Christ should look different.

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” — John 13:35 KJV

You don't have to know someone's whole story to treat them with dignity.

You don't have to understand their battle to extend compassion.

And kindness costs us nothing, but to someone who is barely holding on, it can mean more than we'll ever know.

As we enter another week, may we remember:

Be kind.
Have compassion.
Love one another.

It isn't weakness.
It isn't optional.
It's imperative. ❤️

🔥 THE FIRE DOESN’T GET TO DECIDE HOW YOUR STORY ENDS. 🔥

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were commanded by King Nebuchadnezzar to bow down and worship the golden image he had set up. If they refused, they would be thrown into the burning fiery furnace.

They refused to bow.

They didn't choose the fire.

They chose faithfulness to God, even when the fire became the consequence.

They knew what refusing to bow could cost them, yet they declared:

“Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace…”

And then came the words that reveal the depth of their faith:

“But if not… we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image…” — Daniel 3:17–18 KJV

🔥 THAT IS BOLD FAITH. 🔥

Bold faith says:

God, I know You are able.
But my worship is not dependent on my outcome.
Even under pressure, I will not bow.
Even when obedience costs me something, I will remain faithful.

Nebuchadnezzar had them bound and thrown into the furnace.

But when he looked into the fire, the men who had gone in bound were loose, walking in the midst of the fire—and they were unharmed.

And when they came out?

The fire had no power over their bodies.
Not a hair on their heads was singed.
Their clothes were not burned.

THEY DIDN’T EVEN SMELL LIKE SMOKE.

Somebody going through their own fire needs this reminder:

DON’T BOW.
DON’T COMPROMISE.
DON’T QUIT TRUSTING GOD.

The presence of the fire does not mean the absence of God.

We may not get to choose every fire we face—but we do get to choose whether we will remain faithful while we're facing it.

And when God brings us through, may our testimony be:

THE FIRE DIDN’T HAVE THE FINAL SAY.
GOD KEPT US.

AND WE STILL DIDN’T BOW.

BOLD FAITH DOESN’T BOW IN THE FIRE.

Don't just wear the words.

LIVE THEM.

Three years later, and this message still stands. 🙌🏽

We still believe in the God of suddenly.

God can change a situation in a moment, open doors no one can shut, and turn things around in ways we never saw coming.

So if you've been waiting, praying, believing, or wondering when things will change—don't lose hope. God has not forgotten you. What looks impossible to us is never impossible for Him.

Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep expecting.

Same God. Same faith. Still expecting. ❤️🙌🏽

God can still do it—SUDDENLY.
