A completely unbiased collection of some very cute piercings lately. It’s hard to believe we’re coming up on one year of Bezyl — and fun story — one of my husbands favorite ways to send me off to work is, “have a good day punching holes.” 🤭🤭

Not exactly how I describe my job — but here are a few holes I’ve punched lately 💁🏼‍♀️

And I just want to say, THANK YOU to everyone who has trusted me with your piercings, your kiddos; I truly appreciate each and every one of you. It’s pretty cool that this is what my ‘job’ is 🥰

I mean, if piercing bumps are your goal then sure….

The thing about healing is that a piercing can feel great long before it’s actually healed. That’s why downsizing and changing jewelry are not the same thing. And why I talk sooo much about full healing times.

I want you to have a great piercing. And I don’t want you to have migration, or rejection, or bumps, or worse.

Lobes - take a few months.
Any cartilage - yes, a year or more.
I promise I’m not trying to ruin your fun, and patience is boring, but bumps are far worse. 🫪

Unpopular opinion:
Your piercing would heal faster if you’d stop checking on it.
I know.
You just wanted to see how it’s doing.

But twisting it, touching it, and moving it around every few hours is a lot like digging up a seed to see if it’s growing.

The healthiest piercings are usually the ones that get left alone.

Your piercing doesn’t need supervision.
It needs patience. So..
Leave it alone.
Keep it clean.
Trust the process.

And if you’re worried about something, send me a photo — and probably sooner than later. Don’t wait too long 🩶👀🙂
