Are you a "doer" or a "driver?"

In case you aren't familiar with these terms...

A doer is someone who prefers to be told what to do. They like to check off the boxes and follow someone else's system.

A driver is someone who likes to create their own way of doing things. They take charge and create their own systems.

Back when I was with another company, I was a doer. I was too afraid to do things wrong, so I just tried to fit a mold. I went through the motions of what the successful were doing. I checked off the boxes, trying to build my own success.

But it didn't matter that I was doing all the work because in the back of my head, all I could think was:

💭No one would ever want to work this hard and hardly make any money.

Guess what? I didn’t attract very many people.

I got plugged into a system, copied and pasted scripts, and then wondered why things weren't working for me.

But when I became a rep, I knew I needed to do something different.

I saw the approach that my sponsor used for her business, and I thought "That's cool, but I'm doing this my own way."

This platform gives me the freedom to be authentically ME.

I get to create and have FUN, and build a lucrative business and lifestyle side-by-side because I'm spending less time checking boxes and more time figuring out what else I can do to uplift others and share a mission that I am completely obsessed with.

So now, I'm a driver, and that has led me to living a life I truly am proud of.❤‍🔥

You don’t really enjoy your workouts, do you?

Don’t feel like you have to because Karen does.

Maybe fitness is Karen’s passion.

I mean, it’s MY passion, and I still struggle some days to get moving!

If you’re struggling to get moving, here are a few tips for you:

1. Consume less sugar and starchy carbs. Cut back on these for a few weeks and see if you experience more energy. 🤸🏼‍♀️
2. Find a workout you actually love. If you’re not into lifting weights, then don’t lift weights.💁🏼‍♀️
3. Remember the feeling you get AFTER that workout. Sure, you’re probably shaking, sweaty and exhausted, but you’re also probably pretty dang proud of yourself for showing up. Not the mention that endorphin rush that sets in, boosting your mood and giving you more energy! ⚡️

So stop beating yourself up because you hate working out. Implement these few tweaks into your routine and see what happens!

Are you a morning person?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve preferred an early morning workout, but I went through a period where it was so. dang. hard. to get out of bed in the morning.

Can you relate?

If you’re in that rut right now, here’s how to get out of it:

1️⃣ Identify why waking up early is important. Is it the best time for you to clear your head? Do you want to get your workout done before everyone else demands your time?

2️⃣ Decide what you’re going to say to yourself when those covers are oh-so warm, and you don’t want to move.

I tell myself, “If I sweat now I can spend the rest of my day focusing on hitting my goals and having fun with my kids.”

3️⃣ Visualize yourself not wanting to get out of bed, and then practice your positive self talk.

If you practice it ahead of time, you’ll know exactly how to handle those thoughts that creep in when you can barely peek your eyes open or lift your head off the pillow.

What pain would you rather experience: the pain of getting out of bed and being groggy for a few minutes, or the pain of your entire day being off, keeping you from accomplishing everything you want out of life?

We’ve officially reached the point of “Don’t plan on planning anything.”😆

Others: Do you want to get together anytime in the next month and a half?

Me: That depends on the weather,
And where Kyle’s planting,
If he’s planting,
How long he’s been planting for,
When we last got to spend time with him,
If he’s had any breakdowns,
And if I need to bring any meals.

So basically, the only emoji I’ll be able to use for a while is 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Last night I had a fortune cookie that said I would be given good advice.

After hearing me read it, Kaycie ran in from the other room:

“Mommy! I have some good advice!”

Pause.

Me—“Ok! Let’s hear it!”

“Love God.
Love ZYIA.
Work hard.
Never quit.”

Have you ever seen someone and thought “How does she know how to do that?”

I think it ALL the time as I scroll my feed, catching myself in that comparison trap.

I even hear it frequently from my teammates or women thinking about joining my team.

“I would be so bad at going LIVE like you do. You’re so good at it!
“I could never lead a team. I don’t know how to do it like you do.”

Guess what?

I didn’t know how to do any of these things until I made the choice to learn how.

When I started, I was literally shaking like a leaf in the wind during my first handful of live videos.

And I’ve never had to figure out how to grow and scale a business.

(Honestly, I still feel like I’m figuring it out! ;))

But you know what?

You just keep doing it.
And it gets easier.
And FUN.

Sometimes you screw up.
But the world doesn’t end.
You learn.
Then you do it again, but better.

You gain more confidence.
Then you try more new things.
Then you gain more confidence.

It's the Competence-Confidence loop!

You will NEVER know what you are capable of if you don’t take the first step to start.

No one has any idea what they’re doing when they try something new.

You just have to be willing to be bad at first,
to make the time to learn,
to practice,
to show up even when it's confusing or hard

because it WILL get easier.

Stop comparing your Day 1 to her Day 1000.

And remember: the sooner you have your Day 1, the sooner you can get to your Day 1000. 😉

I did something stupid the other day.

I stepped on the scale.

And so you know what’s even more stupid?

I let that number dictate the way I felt about myself.

I have spent the last few days mulling over the number, how it got there, and what I need to do about it.

And then it hit me:

I don’t need to do anything about it.

I’m physically in the best shape I’ve been in in a long time. I can endure longer, more intense workouts, and I can lift heavier because I EAT.

Mentally, I’m the strongest I have been in my entire adult life. I didn’t realize how anxious of a person I was until about 5 months ago. I started doing some tough mindset work, and my quality of life and mood has improved immensely.

Emotionally, I’m just generally a happier person. I feel so much joy and gratitude for the life we live!

So even though I hadn’t seen that number for a while, I had to remind myself that it is in fact *just a number.*

Don’t let that number define who you are. Let the way you live your life define you.

In the words of Eminem, “You only get one shot,” so let’s not waste it worrying about the scale and instead pour that energy into our passions and purpose.

I haven't been adding value to you. ⠀

And for that I truly apologize.⠀

But do you know where I am showing up when I'm not showing up here?
Or for my laundry?
Or putting on makeup?
Or doing my hair?

I'm showing up extra where it matters MOST: for my *people*.⠀

My *family.*

One year ago this weekend, we weren’t 6 feet apart.

We weren’t worried about germs or masks. In fact, I remember seeing some girls snicker about an older woman wiping down her seat with sanitizing wipes on the airplane. (Now, you might get a funny look if you didn’t do that!🙃)

We soaked up quality time together and celebrated one another. It was so much fun!

We had no idea what was coming.

A week later the country shutdown and everyone was left with so many questions.

What’s going on?
How long will this last?
Is this going to be our new normal?

Even though we’ve been many miles apart, we have ridden the wave of the pandemic together. We’ve celebrated the highest of highs and supported each other through the lows.

These aren’t just my teammates, they’re my tribe. My friends. My .

While virtual events aren’t ideal, I am still so grateful to have the chance to come together with them later today to learn, grow, and just “be” together at !!

Team Retreat in June, Riviera Maya in July, and Summit in September... ALL will be happening, right ladies?!! I can’t wait to squeeze you all!!

I mean this with so much love, but you really need to stop.

Like, right now.

Stop letting doubt and fear win.

I know you’re doing it because I caught myself doing it earlier this week.

I have been able to visualize with extreme detail where I am going in life: with my family, my business, my fitness…

And then out of nowhere the doubt started creeping in.

WHAT IF I fail?
WHAT IF this life I have in my head is completely unattainable?
WHAT IF this is all wrong?

Doubt is normal, but it doesn’t mean we have to dwell on it.

I was reminded of all of the fears I overcame when I first started my activewear business, and I realized that even if I do come across obstacles along the way, I WILL overcome them.

Because that’s what I do: I choose to fight back because I know that I am worthy of everything I’ve ever dreamed of.

And so are YOU.

You don’t have to push the doubts aside. You just can’t let them win.

Keep the focus on what it is you really want.
Visualize it.
Feel it.
Then take action to make it happen.

Girl, your comeback is right around the corner, and I am rooting for you.
