When I think about my adventurous,artistic nature I can’t help but think of my 1800’s Texas family. Leaving lands that they knew in North Carolina, then Arkansas and eventually a long journey to Cedar Springs,a town they would help establish and later would become Dallas took courage in 1838. Dr. John Cole ( my 3rd great grandfather) built the first general store which MUST have been one of my artistic connections…. After all how do you get your materials when you don’t have the internet! He was also a role model in multi-tasking as he was the first established physician and medical office in town as well.

Making the prairies of North and Central Texas your home in the 1800’s took grit, strength and determination. This is my ancestral DNA and I will be forever grateful for those who came before me, planted these roots and shaped who I am today.
