✨Link in bio✨Hair receivers were popular on women’s dressing tables from the late 1800s through the 1930s. Hair saved from brushes was used to create hairpieces or small styling pads for fuller hairstyles.

This rare hand-painted example was made in Italy by Richard Ginori, one of Italy’s most famous porcelain and ceramic makers, and dates to the 1950s when pieces like this were still being produced as decorative vanity accessories.

🥂Celebrating Women & Wine on International Women’s Day ✨

This past Saturday, on International Women’s Day, I had the incredible opportunity to meet the mother-daughter team, Loredana and Vittoria of Podere Ruggeri Corsini 🍷✨ They were in Eugene, Oregon, at one of my favorite food stores, Capella Market, pouring their wines as part of their U.S. tasting tour.

📍 Podere Ruggeri Corsini, Monforte d’Alba, Piedmont, Italy 🇮🇹

Podere Ruggeri Corsini was founded in 1995 by Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante, and today, their daughters Francesca and Vittoria are continuing the family tradition. Their wines showcase the heart of the Langhe region: Barolo, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto, Pinot Nero + and elegant whites like Chardonnay and Viognier. And… if you get a chance, you must try their Rosé/ Rosato 100% Nebbiolo- it’s superb!

Some of my favorites were:
🍇 Langhe Bianco 2023 (a blend of Arneis, Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc)
🍷 Barbera Superiore ‘Armujan’ 2020
🍷 Langhe Nebbiolo
🍷 Barolo Bussia 2020

It was such a special moment to connect with these inspiring women, hear their story and taste their elegantly structured wines. We can’t wait to visit! 🍇💕

❓Have you tried their wine and / or have had the chance to visit their estate in Monforte d’Alba?
