I heard 2026 is the new 2016.

So let’s take it back! It was 2016, I nannied the sweetest little girls by day and was a part time receptionist in the evenings! I was HOPING this was the year my boyfriend would propose (spoiler alert he does). This was the year we decided yo take our first trip all alone states away to New Orleans and it was a trip we still talk about! I started the year with sassy short black hair and ended it with fried blonde hair 😅 It was the year that i decided that a $20 almost black urban decay lipstick was a need and I wore it every chance I got. I turned 21 and got engaged. I took 174934 selfies and tried to get fun aesthetic photos whenever I could. I was in college and HATED it and dreamed of dropping out and never going back (spoiler alert I did that too) 😅 Thick black eyeliner, strappy studded sandals and wedding planning ruled my life.

I randomly woke up yesterday morning and said let’s go to St Louis for the day so 30 minutes later we were on the road. I have been thinking about going all season!

We stopped at Union Station to see all the lights and run around and play. We grabbed lunch at the soda shop and looked at all the candy!Then Raddux insisted we went to the arch so we headed there next, after that we went and played tag and hide + seek at Ballpark village. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. We decided to head to Anheuser-Busch and see if anything was going on and there was a massive light show going on with rides and food trucks so we did that and it was so much fun and so beautiful! We didn’t really do anything crazy or exciting but it was such a great day and so much fun.

I teared up so many times! It was the perfect day with our little crew!
