New Year, new beginnings. While I have been working diligently on projects for many clients, I have also been working on a new studio( with some much needed assistance from my family). The last month I’ve been preparing to move my shop to a studio at home. Still doing what I love, just in a new location. I have some work to do before it’s ready for clients, but can’t wait for you all to be able to see it.

In Fall of 2024, I was asked to help on repairing a WWI nursing uniform for the Military Memorial Museum here in Crossville. It is now on display for everyone to see now that the museum has reopened. This is one of my favorite projects that I have ever had the honor of working on.

As 2025 is coming to a close, I reflect on the amazing year that it has been. It has been challenging and busy year, but being able to do what I love and the amazing clients I have been able to work with make it all worth it. I will be reopening appointments soon but because of some new and exciting changes coming to my business sooner than I had planned, those appointments will be limited for the month of January. I plan to make an announcement next week on some changes coming to Wooden Spool for 2026. May you all have a safe and wonderful new year!

To all my wonderful clients: Thank you! This has been a very busy year! And with the end of the year rapidly approaching( as well as the holidays that come with it), I have made the decision to not take anymore alterations for the rest of 2025 and will reopen my books again in January 2026. I will post sometime in December when I’ve decided on an official date that I will reopen for appointments. This will give me time to work on the current amount of projects I have and be able to enjoy the coming holidays with my family. I want to thank you all for your patience and understanding.

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend!
Things have been pretty busy in the shop lately. I am truly grateful for all the support of my small business. I am working as diligently as I can to get everyone’s alterations completed. Due to the influx in alterations I’m having to make some changes for the month of September. During this month, I will not be taking walk-ins or rush jobs. As of right now rush jobs are anything needed in two weeks or less. Again I’m so grateful and blessed for all of the support and being able to do what I love. It is my goal to be able to post more often so everyone can see what I’ve been up to in the shop.

Hey everyone! I thought I would post a little update. First off, thank you! Thank you for your continued support of my small business! I have been extremely busy these last few months and could not be more grateful. With that, now that prom season is over, I’m going on a much needed vacation and spending some time with family. So I will not be scheduling appointments from May 1st to 13th. Also, be aware that if you message me or call, it may take a little longer than normal for me to respond back. I am grateful for your understanding and will be refreshed and back at it on the 13th. Have a beautiful and blessed day!
