Some love stories do not start loud. 🗣️
They start quiet. 🤐
Under a streetlight. 💡
With two people who had no idea their lives were about to change. 👩🏾‍❤️‍👨🏾

This is how Ghetto Love begins.🫶🏽

Diary of an Aquarius ♒️

I woke up thinking today was going to be peaceful. I stretched like a yoga teacher who gets paid in incense and quiet time 😌. My Cancer husband walked in and said the words that should have been my warning.

“Bae let us run one little errand.” 😅

One little errand.

The lie of the century.

I grabbed my keys thinking we were stopping at one store and coming right home so I could return to my bubble of Aquarius serenity 🧘‍♀️. My Cancer man had a whole secret adventure map tucked in his emotional toolbox because he definitely had other plans.

We went to the store first. Cool. Simple. Easy.

But as soon as we stepped out he held his stomach and said

“Bae I am hungry. I want something good.” 🍽️

So now we are at lunch, and while he is chewing like he got a five star meal, he suddenly lights up.

“Ooo babe I saw this place on Facebook. I forgot the name but I know how to get there.” 😳

That should have been warning number two.

Now we are forty five minutes from home because apparently the place he saw was across the entire city. He is driving with the joy of a child who found a hidden playground while I am in the passenger seat trying to remember how my calm Aquarius day got snatched away like this 🫠.

We pull up to this random outdoor market.

He did not even tell me it was an outdoor market.

I am in slides.

He is in full exploration mode.

He wants to look at crystals 🔮

He wants to smell handmade candles 🕯️

He wants to try samples of salsa he cannot even finish because it is too spicy

He wants me to take pictures of him with some giant wooden carved bear like it is our vacation photo 📸

I am standing there blinking but trying to be supportive because that is my man.

After that he says

“Let us stop and get snacks for later.”

Later where.

Later for what.

Nobody knows.

But now we are in a corner store with him debating flavors of chips like he is choosing stock market investments 💼😂.

Then he remembers there is a plant nursery close by.

A quick stop he says.

A quick stop is now a tour.

He is talking to the plants like they are old friends 🌱

Touching leaves gently

Naming some of them even though they already have names

Telling me

“Look babe this one feels like it likes me”

I am an Aquarius so my brain is floating somewhere above the greenhouse but I love him so I go along with it.

Just when I think we are going home he says

“Wait let us drive past my old house so I can show you something.”

Now we are in a neighborhood I have never seen in my life.

He is pointing at random trees telling childhood stories.

I am nodding politely like a supportive wife even though I have no idea what the plot is anymore 😭.

On the way back he stops the car again.

Why

Because he saw a friendly dog on the sidewalk.

He rolled his window down and had a full three minute conversation with the dog like they went to school together 🐶❤️.

By evening I have taken part in a full city tour

A food trip

A market walk

A plant adoption interview

A nostalgia drive

And a dog meet and greet

When all I wanted was to return home and chill.

He finally looks at me with those sweet Cancer eyes and says

“Bae today was so fun. I love doing stuff with you.” 🥺

And honestly

It was.

Chaotic

Unexpected

Exhausting

But fun

Because that is what loving a Cancer is.

One simple plan turning into fourteen activities plus a bonus adventure and a heartfelt moment at the end.

I just smiled because that is my man and this is the ride I signed up for.

And even when my Aquarius brain is buffering I still would not trade days like this with him 💙♒️❤️♋️.

Ghetto Love asks one question.
Can two broken people still be the safest place for each other?
Raina and Khalil could walk away from the world but not from each other.

Tag someone who loves deep and feels even deeper

12/05/2025

The streetlight flickered the first time they met.
It flickered again the night they found each other grown.
And by the end of their story, that same light finally burned steady.
Every chapter carries its own glow.

Would you stand under the light with them?

They had not seen each other in a decade, but when her eyes met his, the noise of the room disappeared. Everything faded except the memories they never spoke out loud.
That is when she knew.
Some people are not meant to stay gone.

If you felt that, Ghetto Love is for you.

Khalil is the kind of man the world tries to bury.
Quiet. Loyal. Haunted.

He carries the weight of the streets on his back, and the hope of a better life in his chest.

The first time he sees Raina again after ten years, his whole world stops moving.

Meet Raina. A girl who learned early that love can hurt, but healing can save.
She grew up running from her feelings, hiding behind strength, and choosing safety over truth.
Until one night under a flickering streetlight changed everything.
Ghetto Love belongs to her heart first.

Are you ready to meet the woman who learned to love again?

🚨 COMING SOON: GHETTO LOVE 🚨

Two people. One connection that refuses to die.

Ghetto Love is not a fairytale. It is a story about survival, second chances, and the kind of love that can break you before it builds you.

Raina and Khalil come from two worlds that should have never crossed. But when they meet under the glow of a streetlight one summer night, everything changes. What begins as a spark turns into something powerful enough to challenge time, distance, and the weight of their past.

Their love is tested by betrayal, redemption, and the ghosts that never let go. It is real, raw, and unforgettable. The kind of love story that asks how far you would go for the person who feels like home.

This book is for anyone who has ever loved too hard, lost too much, or fought their way back to themselves.

Because sometimes, love is not what saves you. It is what shows you who you really are.
