We have gotten your DMs, texts and calls so it’s time we say this out loud. There will be NO GRL Weekend this year. 😳😩😔
BUT this isn’t goodbye. It’s just a moment to pause, breathe, and prepare for what’s next.
For the first time since launching the Fluffy GRL Movement, we won’t be hosting GRL Weekend this August. 😳 Trust me, this was not an easy decision.
GRL Weekend has always been a bold, beautiful, and heavy lift — a three-day experience rooted in joy, visibility, and community. But it takes time, resources, strategy, and most importantly… a team. While I’m endlessly grateful for the volunteers who have helped shape the last 14 years, we’ve reached a point where real infrastructure is needed: employees, funders, partners, and aligned brands willing to build with us.
So this year, we’re pressing pause. We’re taking a sacred rest while continuing to amplify q***r, women-led, and POC-centered spaces that are doing the work.
My prayer is that the people, brands, and companies who’ve been watching, inspired, or even quietly wanting to collaborate — now’s your time to reach out. The work we’ve done has always been about building something bigger than a weekend — it’s been about legacy, leadership, and love. And baby, we’re not done.
This movement isn’t fading — we’re fortifying.
And when we come back, it’ll be deeper, louder, and even more Fluffy.
