As much as I love big, fancy, challenging projects; the small ones are just as fun!! As mentioned in an earlier post, I had foot surgery causing me to have to wear a giant, Frankenstein-like boot. With Thanksgiving coming up, I couldn’t resist making this Turkey boot cover! My doctor LOVED it! Definitely worth the hot glue burns

This is me just wanting to show off my baby serger! I think so many sewers get scared around sergers. Sergers are known to be temperamental and different to work; ESPECIALLY THREADING! Have no fear!!! (They can smell fear) It really takes practice and a willingness to fail in the beginning. By failing, you’re learning what not to do in the future! In the future I’ll post some tutorials on how to use them and make them your best friend!

I like challenging myself with sewing, so these pair of Edwardian cycling breeks were my next big goal!

I had surgery on my feet starting in September so I figured I would need a big project to keep me occupied!

I’m crazy over Edwardian and Victorian clothes so these pants were a must!

I decided I wanted to give myself an even bigger challenge by sewing them completely by hand! ...... This brings me to my next point..... They’re not done yet. I believe I have two more steps left but I’ve decided I needed a break from them. I know one day I will find the energy to complete them! (Hopefully before I grow out of them)

2019 was the start of one of my biggest projects yet! 18th century undergarments and gown! They were made following Simplicity’s 8161 and 8612. I was most excited to sew the stays!

I finished the project in a little under a year. I could’ve probably finished it sooner but I had tucked it away for a few months.

Everything is made out of bedsheets except for the dark green fabric (which I got on sale) Not bad for dressing in a bed!

So so happy with how it turned out
