Maple, walnut, and butternut boards will be dropped off to tomorrow!

These live edge boards are between 16-30”. We also have smaller boards in stock within the store. The holiday rush will be here soon. Check their October calendar and don’t miss out!

I had a loooong post about “This house” not being a specific address and extending these sentiments to our neighbors. I felt like my words were dancing around what I was trying to say so here it is.

This house is here for Black Lives. It is here for Pride. It is here to make Earth better for all of our children. This house has your back.

Side notes: 1) Yes, I start thoughts/sentences like Michael Scott. 2) all this came out because Pumpkin looked cute taking a nap, not even staged.

Many years ago a man told my Father and I that if we help skid some logs and take them to the mill we could have some lumber. I made these tables from those trees. A bonus to getting this far- is recalling the memories I made with my Dad to get here. I hope the owner makes just as many memories around these tables! @ Syracuse, New York

We always mean to do a wood Wednesday then forget to take pictures.
During a mental/jointer breakdown I implemented some art therapy and was able to get my head back in the game.
We machined ten, 9 foot 5/4 hickory boards to 3/4 and 1/2” today. The 1968 Craftsman jointer struggled even with very light passes. The DEWALT735 looked like me in front of a plate of - not a crumb left.

Long story long, the coffee cup made me laugh and the second picture is from that gnarly board I posted last week. Very happy it wasn’t turned into firewood!

3 children woke up today without a bed to sleep in and tonight they’ll be snuggling up with their Avenger, dinosaur, or Aladdin blanket sets.

I wish we could get a report on their first night of sleep in the beds we built!
