How are you feeling right now?

I’m in a weird funk. There’s a lot going on in life, and I have a lot of balls up in the air. Something about January always makes me feel this way.

While part of me feels a sense of new and freshness for goals and inspiration, the other part of me craves the regular routine and continuation of normalcy. I don’t know why right now normalcy feels like not working towards goals.

So, a few highlights in my life right now:
🥰I got Maddie an AAC loaner device to start testing programs!
💗This weekend is a long weekend!
💖I am reading (and enjoying) Lessons in Chemistry. I used to be a big reader but put it aside when I started this business so I’m happy to have prioritized it again.
❤️My Valentine’s Day launch is tomorrow at 7 PM EST and I’m really excited about all the products I’ve assembled for you!

💗How about a Valentine’s Day sneak peek?! 💕

❤️ Valentine’s Day playdough kits, jars, mini jars, dough hearts, bead kits, and bead mini kits are launching on my site on Thursday January 12th at 7 PM!

💕 These will be the perfect Valentine gift for your littles or as Valentines for friends. I’ll have a lower price point for the mini jars, which I know will be a big hit for class treats!

💖 Based on the Christmas demand I’m thinking these will go quickly and I don’t have plans to restock, so make sure you set your alarms to order on Thursday!

*Swipe to flip the jars around and see the glitter play dough* This cute stack of jars is my last official order for the 2022 holiday season! They headed out the door today to find their place under a Christmas tree.

What a holiday season it has been! Thank you for supporting my small business.

For the first time this month, I will take money out as profit. I will be able to pay for Christmas presents and some bills.

When you shop small, you’re supporting families. You’ve definitely supported mine.

If I could count the pounds of flour and hours of time and numbers of jar lids unscrewed, I’m certain they would total multiple thousands.

The joy of the season has been meeting people at markets and seeing kids love these kits.

I am so excited for your kids to open their gifts and receive a kit from The Playtime Planner! I hope you’ll share a photo with me!

Not running my business. This isn’t easy.

I run my business to make your life as mom (or dad) easier!

Parenting is hard. My kits will help you celebrate the little moments without having to add the extra effort.

It’s hard to pick favorites for orders these last few weeks.
🎄I love the class favor jar order because I’m saving someone from having to assemble favors for friends.

I’m nearing sold out on a few items, and I have my biggest announcement yet! Oh, and swipe to the end to see some of your packages going out!

You guys, I’m blown away with your support, orders, and engagement. This has been my most successful season yet, and it’s not over!

Seeing so many of you at was my favorite part! I can’t wait to meet more of you at December 10! Let me know in the comments if you’ll be at their holiday market from 10-4!

I’m working hard getting out orders as quickly as possible, and a few of my styles are nearing sold out (Christmas jar, Christmas standard kit, and a few others). If you’re eyeing something, head over to my shop and grab it now.

I can’t let the day go by without posting a heartfelt thank you for your support on small business Saturday!

Today, my mom and my daughter, Olivia, came with me to be a vendor at . We had an amazing day meeting repeat customers and new customers alike. We got interviewed by a local news station, and he asked me why people should shop small.

I just want to reiterate, here, what I told him. When you shop small, you’re making a difference in the life of an individual and their family. When you shop from me, you’re helping me continue to fund my business, as well as occasionally pull a profit to create memorable experiences for and with my girls. You’re also helping to fund our life as a special needs family.

You make a true difference when you support my business. Thank you for that!

My Black Friday sale will start at 5 PM Thursday and end at midnight EST Friday!

I’m limiting quantities on some items, so I’d recommend you shop early to get what you want at this discount.

Have you seen this cute Christmas kit and all the sensory play accessories that come inside of it?!

There are so many new additions this year compared to last year’s Christmas kit, and it’s really neat to see how much fun kids are having with the mini figurines and snowman accessories.

Meet the maker!

It has been a long while since I've shared about myself and my family and my why, so I wanted to do that today!

I'm Meghan! I'm a mom, a middle school teacher, and a side hustle lover. In my free time (LOL) I love reality tv, reading fiction books, and scouring any type of "hard to find" items that are currently popular. 

I have two daughters, Olivia and Maddie. They are my entire why.

Olivia is almost 7 and is in first grade. Before I went on maternity leave with my younger daughter, Maddie, I ordered some items from Amazon and set up sensory bins and activity kits for Olivia so she had fun activities to do while I was busy taking care of a baby. Olivia was hooked, and I saw the incredible benefits of sensory play.

Olivia is now a big helper in my business. She helps me pack kits, she helps me stay organized, and she helps me come up with new ideas on what to include. She's also the reason I added the bracelet kits to my shop. Since she's getting older and getting interested in jewelry and style more, I wanted a kit that offered her a screen-free activity that was still engaging and helped with fine motor skills and focus.

Maddie is 4, and she has a rare syndrome called Angelman Syndrome. It's a neurological genetic condition that causes intellectual disability, physical disability, seizures, and lack of speech. What it does not cause is lack of happiness and smiling. She's a sensory seeker who is my absolute number 1 fan.

Maddie is obsessed with my play dough kits, and she has played with them since I created them in August 2021. They have truly helped her increase the amount of time she can focus on an activity, and they have been a Godsend in terms of attention span.

I started this business for the needs of my two girls and the needs of kids everywhere. I believe strongly in sensory play, creative expression, and imaginative play. My products will always help kids and families achieve more of all of the above.

I’ll have a new standard kit, a new jar, and a brand new product—a mini jar! You’re not going to want to miss it!
