Growing up in Japan, this was just a normal bath night for me 🛁🇯🇵

You wash and rinse outside the tub, then soak once you’re clean. And one of my favorite little details? You can set the bath temperature, press a button to fill the tub, and the control panel actually talks to you when your bath is ready 😂♨️

I grew up in this house, so none of this ever seemed unusual to me. Now I realize how fun it is to share the little everyday things that can be so different from country to country.

Would anything about this bath setup surprise you?

Boarding started six minutes ago, so naturally we stopped for Butter Butler souvenirs, matcha ice cream, and a few more photos.

Somehow, the three of us still made it onto our JAL flight from Narita to Los Angeles. Then Candy fell asleep before takeoff, Cindy opened an art studio at 35,000 feet, and peace was never an option.

Which traveler are you: the shopper, the snacker, or the one already asleep?

One thing we really appreciate about Japanese hotels is that many provide an air purifier and/or humidifier in the room. As someone with allergies, I love having cleaner air while I sleep. It's a thoughtful feature we rarely see in Western hotels.
