I left the house today for the first time since the passing of my dear Fenix. It was hard because I was so programmed. He woke me up every morning, and we walked. He aided in my physical therapy and definitely assisted in my emotional and mental balance. I Loved him and he loved me! Leaving home today, I did not have a morning walk, I did not have him following me from room to room, I did not have him staring at me as I made and drank my morning coffee and it was super hard walking out the door and not telling him to go home, securing the latches on his cage and watching him settle on his blanket as I told him that I love him and I’d see him later.

I cried when I reached my destination but the people welcoming me knew the situation and were just glad I showed up. The kids knew my situation and gave me much-needed hugs.

I feel my healing processing and I thank you all for your support.
