Well, it happened - I flew too close to the sun and got burned. Two delightful pairs of cosy, super easy socks finished and I think I can just jump right back into dental floss knitting with colorwork like it’s no big deal. I have one way too big toe, and one way too tiny half sock with terrible tension. Both will have to be ripped out (despite having restarted each toe no less than three times). I feel like I need a magnifying glass to see what I’m doing. I’ve had to explain to my kids that I have to keep starting over because I’m knitting with vibes, not vision, and the vibes aren’t great (but neither is my vision 🤪). Should I use a pattern? Probably. Will I? Of course not, because that requires paying attention. Should I at least map out a design. 100% yes. Will I do that? Still no. I’ll probably frog these both and stuff the yarn back into my stash for another few years while I forget, again, how hard knitting with tiny needles and thread is, especially with no plan in place. Wish me whatever the opposite of being stubborn is 🫣.
