Working on a jump suit for a client today. These suits are very expensive and instead of buying one yearly for their child, we’re building in a “grow with me” option by hemming (not cutting) the sleeves and pant legs. When the child grows, we’ll let the hem out.

Here is an example of a (significant) repair of carhart coveralls.
My neighbors honey has been working in a supervisory position the last few years and so these sat in a closet without much use. But at least on a short term basis he is again doing more manual labor and needs these coveralls to stay warm outside.
Not wanting to waste the potential these still have, she asked me if I could fix them.
Patches are no issue. But this guy (as we all have) has gained a little weight too and wanted me to replace the buttons on the side and “add wire” I told him I could do him one better. So I added a stretchy but durable panel where the buttons would normally have been. Giving this guy the garment closure he needed and the extra room too!

Y’all, sorry for the messy Livingroom in the background.

These are the SAME leggings. Like the same Pair on my girls. Paisley, 16months old, on the left and comfortably fits in size 18 months—she’s wearing the cuffs flipped up. Penny(4yo) is on the right and is a 4/5t—she’s wearing the cuffs flipped down.

I’m telling you guys, if you have kids you need these leggings! One pair of my leggings could last you 3-4.
