For over 90 years Mary Meyer has been creating premium soft toys with LOVE YOU CAN FEEL. Mary Meyer herself was a maker who believed babies and children deserve beautiful things that provide comfort and were built to last a lifetime. This vision remains true today with four of Mary’s grandsons running the company. The company has grown over the years and we sell our toys all over the world, but we still work out of the same town in which Mary set up shop many years ago in Townshend, Vermont.

To celebrate National Teddy Bear Day, Peggy's daughter — who works in activities at an assisted living facility in Maine — reached out about a virtual storytelling session. After a scheduling mix-up left us with only 30 minutes to prepare, our own Steven Meyer didn't miss a beat. He jumped front and center to tell the Mary Meyer story, and lucky for us, Mary was his grandmother, so he knows it by heart. He shared the history straight from Mary's original designs and vintage photos.

The residents were absolutely delighted — and got a teddy bear keepsake of their own to commemorate the day. 🐻❤️ Thank you, Steven, for making time to bring a little extra joy into someone's day. This is what is all about.

Behind the scenes: chasing the light (and toddlers) 📸✨
Some days at Mary Meyer HQ mean packing up the whole studio and heading to our favorite spot — the South Newfane Schoolhouse. Built in 1867, this little one-room schoolhouse turned multi-purpose space gives us the natural light we chase all year long.

One day, three seasons: Valentine’s hearts, Easter bunny magic, and Baby catalog snuggles — all shot in a 2-day visit. From getting warmed up on the “monkey bars” to full baby belly laughs on set, it’s chaos, it’s cute, and it’s very much .
