When you have the coolest nephew, you have to make sure he rocks the coolest shoes! Lately he's been loving the Sam Raimi Spiderman movies and he also really thinks the venom in that 3rd movie is super cool. So today he gets his Spiderman and Venom shoes! Can't wait to give them to him! 🕷️🕸️

These were a birthday gift for my uncle, gifted today and I might just have to paint a pair kinda similar for myself for this upcoming football season!

For anyone curious, I decided to keep track of my time spent working on these. Prep alone, which is sanding down the factory polish and cleaning the surface with alcohol was about 2 hours. After that, placing the art and planning out design was about another hour.

Currently I hand paint everything, so it does take quite a bit of time. Even this simple design, I spent about 20-24 hours total on from start to finish, most of that time being my only days off on the weekends.

He was super happy with the shoes and so was I! Next up, nephews birthday shoes now that he grew out of his Scooby Doo shoes! 😂🖌️✨

I believe 2026 is going to be a great year! I have some things in the works to possibly join some arts and craft shows here in Traverse City and even possibly starting an Etsy page. With joining some arts and crafts events I figured it would be best to have a show piece that people can look at in person and I thought it would be cool to show the process of these as I paint them.

My idea for a show piece is King Tut! These will be mostly painted with the pearlescent paints to really make these shine. The overall plan hasn't been decided yet, kind of winging it as I go, but I'm loving the look already.

With sanding, prepping, and drawing the initial outline of the mask, I've got about 8 hours into these already.
