Sunny Day Giggles

Sunny Day Giggles I offer a unique selection of upcycled clothing for children and adults. In the past, I mostly sold cloth diapers and wool covers. I prefer cotton, wool, etc.

I sew a variety of different items, it kind of changes with my mood. :) Mostly (at least for now) I make Upcycled Wool Sweater Coats. But as my children have grown out of diapers (I have mixed feeling about that, lol), I have evolved into other things. I can still make diapers though, if needed. :) I also make clothing (skirts, dresses, etc.) from both upcycled clothing and new fabric. I abhor syn

thetic, man-made fabrics, so you won't see much of that from me. About my sweater coats:
I have always loved working with wool. I used to make diaper covers from wool sweaters, and was always looking for other ways to use them. Then I stumbled across Katwise (you can find her on Etsy and facebook), and fell completely in love with her sweater coats! So I bought her tutorial, and started making them. I made some for my daughters (I have 5), my nieces, my sister, etc. I didn't plan on selling them at first, but I became addicted to making them. (Which is honestly how I started selling diapers, lol) My girls can only have so many coats before it becomes just a little ridiculous! And people kept asking me about them, so here I am. I usually have a small in stock selection in my Etsy store, along with other odds and ends (like really cool armwarmers!). I also take custom orders, either here through facebook, or through my Etsy store. I have recently started doing craft shows, and those are a lot of fun, too!

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything since June!! Life gets so busy!
I hope you all are having a great holiday season. I know I am! All of my kids are home under one roof! It makes this mama happy. ❤️
If anyone is looking for last minute Christmas gifts, I just finished a huge batch of arm warmers. 😉 They are $20 a pair. I can meet in the Marquette area, or I can ship. If you buy two or more pairs, I will ship for free. 🙂 Probably the last day I can guarantee Christmas delivery is Thursday, possibly Friday if you are closer.
I also have a limited amount of leg warmers, but can make more if there is enough interest. And if you are looking for my hoodies and other clothing, and you’re local, I have some in the Open Wings Gallery in Munising.

So, I’ve been making these. I’m debating what to call them. I want to call them butt warmers, or bum warmers. I mean, I have arm warmers, and leg warmers, why not butt warmers?! 🤣 My daughters think it’s kinda dorky, they say I should just call them skirts. But I am a dorky kind of person, sooo....
But seriously, they are really warm, and work great over leggings. 🙂
