This quilt was made out of two Girl Scout vests and a sash. I removed and reattached each patch to get the most out of the material that I could. I’m kicking myself for not taking before pictures, but it is what it is 😅 And with this project I learned that freehand stitching is HARD! But I’m super happy and proud of how this one turned out 💜

With Mother’s Day just around the corner I always get conflicted emotions. Before having my son I lost my first pregnancy and almost eight years later I still mourn my “what if” baby.

I completed this project as an act of healing and looking at her I know she’s not mine to keep but to share with another parent who has lost at any stage. She will be available at the market this evening 💚💛🧡❤️💜💙

Guys! I’m going to be one busy bee 🐝 the next two weeks getting some items created because I’m doing my first local market on May 12th with and a ton of other local vendors including my lovely friend !! If you have an order that you’d like me to start you are more than welcome to bring me any items that you would like me to turn into your keepsake. I’ll also have some items up for grabs! Maybe I’ll do a poll to see what items I should focus on having ready?

Now that this order has been safely delivered I can show what I completed for my niece! She asked *very specifically* for a white unicorn with grey hooves, a sparkly horn, and a rainbow mane and tail along with a yellow sparkly toothfairy pillow with a pink bow for her birthday. I added her name in a rainbow thread on her pillow just for fun ☺️🌈🦄

This little bunny and puppy duo were ordered by my wonderful friend who wanted keepsakes made from the onesies that she brought her little girls home in ❤️ Each has a majority of the onesie that they came home in with a blend of a few outfits they shared. Bonus detail with these is that I did not alter the size of the feet, this way she can always remember just how tiny and precious her girls were 🥹

I have been so lucky in the help, kindness, and care I have received from strangers over my life and because of that I’m setting a goal for myself of donating 150 items between now and the end of the year. Today I donated 20 bags to a local hospital to be given out to families to hold important paperwork and other items. The next projects I will be doing are blankets and stuffed animals for children that are having extended stays in local hospitals.
