There’s a lot that comes with this work that people don’t always see.

Mental fatigue, stress, burnout, time away from home, injuries, fatigue, competition, responsibility, and pressure are real too, especially in high-risk environments where focus matters every day.

One of the best things crews can do is check in with each other beyond just the job itself. Ask how someone’s doing. Take breaks when you need them. Talk to someone you trust instead of carrying everything alone.

Looking out for each other is part of the work, too.
