One of the most successful lawyers in HISTORY looked at the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ... and ended up becoming a Christian based solely on the evidence for the resurrection alone and how it would hold up on a courtroom.
Sir Lionel Luckhoo wasn't some random guy who didn't understand how evidence works.
He was an internationally renowned trial lawyer who reportedly achieved an absolutely insane 245 consecutive murder-case acquittals. Which put him in the Guinness book of world records.
The man knew how to examine testimony. He knew how to cross-examine witnesses. He knew how to spot holes in a story. His entire career was built around determining whether the evidence actually supported a claim.
And he was skeptical of Christianity.
So he examined the case for the resurrection of Jesus using the same kind of critical thinking he had spent his career applying to evidence.
There's just one problem...
The evidence convinced him.
He became a Christian.
And afterward he made this incredible statement:
“I say unequivocally that the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that it compels acceptance by proof which leaves absolutely no room for doubt.”
You don't have to just believe Jesus rose from the dead. You can absolutely know with 100% certainty that He did based upon the evidence.
I absolutely LOVE the claim that Christianity is only believed by people who refuse to examine the evidence or that "faith" means you throw your brain out the door when it means the EXACT opposite of that.
Because sometimes people actually DO examine it...
And that's precisely why they become Christians. 🤷♂️
The resurrection isn't a fairy tale Christians are afraid to investigate.
It's a historical claim.
Examine the evidence. It actually happened exactly the way it was described.
