GYPSIES GRAVEYARD SHIRTS I used trespass with my friends here as a teenager. The word of mouth stories handed down to us in high school went something like, In the 1800’s, local townspeople denied aid to and ran off a band of ill Gypsies camping on the out skirts of town. Due to the cruelty of the locals, as they left, the gypsies put a curse on the ground of the area where they had buried their dead, causing the shoes and pant bottoms of the townsfolk and their descendants to become blood soaked upon setting foot there. I can find no historical record of any of this, great Northwest Indiana urban legend though.
Though it’s supposedly a paranormal hotbed, the scariest thing I’ve personally encountered there was other people. 😂
Before designing these shirts, I went back there for the first time in 20+ years, and first time during the day. It’s very serene, secluded, and has really old/ornate tombstones. New to me was a camera and a sign about 24 hour surveillance. Sadly it’s had issues with vandalism over the years. Again, the scariest thing in there is the living.
