Day 240, Journey 21: Raising a black son in today’s society is far more scary than I thought it would be.

Even as I send him away to an affirming HBCU I am still faced with the fact that
Gun violence is happening right in front of us — to our friends and families across the nation — at a rate that is unmatched;

Now, it is in our hands to change the culture and put down the guns to stop the violence; our returning citizens are leading the way.

Sometimes you have to take a step back to discover who you really are.

You have the power to make a positive, lasting impact on the world but you must first learn the art of forgiveness to release stagnant energy which blocks the flow of blessings and healthy love 💕

The attack you feel is because your anointed. - don’t take it personal

By forgiving and releasing what no longer serves you creates space for something new.

Change is good, you can’t love someone else until you release the trauma that hinders you.

Be patient with yourself, be patient with others, and be patient with God.
