June is National PTSD Awareness Month.
Some injuries are visible. Others stay hidden behind the uniform.
Firefighters, first responders, military personnel, and countless others carry the weight of traumatic experiences long after the call is over. PTSD is real. Itâs not weakness. Itâs not failure. And youâre not alone.
As firefighters, weâre trained to run toward danger. But asking for help may be one of the bravest things youâll ever do.
This month, letâs break the stigma, check on our people, and remind those who are struggling that support is available.
Because protecting those who protect others means protecting mental health too.
