Did God punish Lot’s wife? No. If I told you not to touch a hot stove and you touched it anyway, did I punish you? The Lord sent Angels that warned Lot and his family to “Escape for thy life; look not behind thee...”. It was in fact out of Love that he told them to flee so that they be saved. “Looking back” can keep you stuck right in place when God wants you to move forward. Some will heed the word of God and others won’t , and in this case, Angels sent from heaven with a message from God himself was still not enough to heed his word. When God speaks to you, listen.
