At Crooked Monkey, retreat week isn’t a pause from work. It’s part of how we work.
As a remote-first merch company, we spend most of the year collaborating through screens, time zones, Google Meets, and group chats. Once a year, we bring everyone together in person — not for corporate icebreakers, but to strengthen the relationships, trust, and culture behind the work we do every day.
Our retreats are built the same way we approach every client project: intentionally, creatively, and with an unreasonable level of attention to detail. From Monkey Talks and Snack Wars to retreat swag, surprise activities, spontaneous brainstorming, and the conversations that somehow become inside jokes for the rest of the year. Every part of it matters.
