w and aspiring bagmaking struggling in their bagmaking journey who could also use help. Still concerned about how I would go about sourcing the right materials. But then …
One day I was contacted by a lovely woman asking for me to be her mentor. I soon realized that there were many new and aspiring bagmakers struggling in their bagmaking journey who could also use some help. I set out to create the most distinctive subscription box for the most adventurous aspiring bagmaker who wanted to experience the joy of bagmaking while using bold Ankara-inspired prints. It turns out, the road was more difficult than I imagined. From sourcing, the perfect material to understanding what beginning bagmakers were looking for was like learning bagmaking all over again. After conferring with some fellow bagmakers and making a list of all their thoughts and advice, I set off on a quest to curate the first Sew Your Bag box. I feared that what I had envisioned was more than I could handle and no one would like it

Through it all, we released our first subscription box and the response has been a pure joy from everyone who sees the Sew Your Bag box.
