My Whittier

My Whittier My Whittier. We are a clothing line with a local conscious, paying tribute to our favorite city. Whittier, California I love nostalgia and watch way too much T.V.

I am a self-proclaimed "Foodie" and longtime Whittier resident. I thought it would be fun to provide an honest, comprehensive guide to our city from someone who was raised in Whittier (in the 80's!). I plan on highlighting the sights, sounds & tastes of Whittier past and present. I don't claim to be an expert on any of it, just someone who knows what I like. I hope you enjoy my blog now go out and explore Whittier & beyond! Visit our website www.mywhittier.com

Whittier Youth Spring Market is always such a fun event. The young entrepreneurs, makers, crafters and sellers are there selling their goods and having such a great time. I bought a few things and learned how they made their items. It is so great to hear them light up about the things they are selling. They also feel so proud when they are handing the money they earned. So cool! The City of Whittier and Whittier: Parks, Recreation & Community Services do a great job. This always takes place at the Whittier Community Center.

I was invited to speak to the Rotary Club of Whittier today. We had lunch at Roadhouse Grill and I learned about all of the great things the Rotary Club does for our community and the world at large. Really cool stuff. They wanted to hear a little bit about my journey as well. It was another enjoyable experience. Big thanks to President Jeff Nickell and William Ha for the invite. I appreciate it.
