My journey to becoming a designer was not a straight line; shaped by hard choices, setbacks, and an unbreakable drive. Once I realized the deep passion I had for fashion and my desire to build a career as a designer, I knew I had to pursue a formal education in college. After being accepted into the college of my choice I truly believed that everything was falling into place…. But after just one week, a poor choice landed me incarcerated for 14 months. Upon my release, I was left with a failed college experience and a background the world tried to define me by. But I refused to let my mistakes become my identity. Instead, I poured my energy into fashion, teaching myself everything through hard work, resilience, and dedication. The unconditional love, support and patience from my two amazing kids has been incredible ! Now, 10 years later, A self-taught designer, proud of every step. Every stitch and design is a testament to that strength, reminding me I turned setbacks into purpose, and now I lead with confidence and vision.
