So...can we just talk about how sometimes you do seventy-five rows of double crochet crocodile stitch so that motion where you do a yarn over as soon as you complete a stitch so you're set up for the next stitch is now ingrained in your muscle memory?

And then you swap to single crochet and half the first 12 rows have been rolling your eyes and pulling out the half-finished accidental double crochet you just did because *muscle memory*?

Edited to add: the pattern for this lovely is from Cottontail & Whiskers , and i emailed them prior to starting the work to confirm they wouldn't mind if i made one for a paying client.

i honestly love the way it turns out! Getting there is a process 😆

The scales will be more even when the project is blocked; in my experience, crocodile stitch likes to curl on one side until blocking time.
