Not our normal period...1961! Lol!!

But the design and quality of construction is AMAZING.

Imagine, a coat pattern with just 4 pieces...genius.

This plaid coat is a masterpiece of construction. Cut from two main pieces of fabric (with small inset shoulder yokes and a one-piece collar), its shape is achieved primarily by means of judiciously placed darts in the sleeves and collar.

Both the top and underside of the collar are molded with 24 darts — 12 on each side — that are nearly invisible. It is difficult to see them because they are perfectly aligned with the grids of the plaid fabric.

In about 48 hours, Jane Austen Festival, Louisville, Kentucky will open their gates for an in-person event!

Unfortunately, due to family commitments and schedule conflicts, Ruby's Rags will not have a shop at the festival this year. We hope to see you here, and hopefully, in person next year.
