A Heartfelt Thank You from The Thoughtfulness Shop & My Little Bow Peeps Shop

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that The Thoughtfulness Shop and My Little Bow Peeps Shop will be closing our Woodstock storefronts at the end of June 2026.

Over the past several months, Janice has faced some significant health challenges, and it has caused us to reevaluate our priorities. As a family and business team, we’ve made the decision to focus our efforts on our apparel production operations and consolidate everything into a single location so we can work together and spend more time together.

Our 6+ years on the Woodstock Square have been an incredible journey. We’ve met so many wonderful customers, made lifelong friendships, and created memories that we will always treasure. We are deeply grateful for the support, encouragement, and kindness you’ve shown us along the way.

While our retail storefront is closing, this is not goodbye. You can still find The Thoughtfulness Shop and My Little Bow Peeps Shop online through our websites, Etsy, Amazon, Facebook, and other future ventures we have planned.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know!

With gratitude,

Janice & Craig Wilcox

Several Retailers in The Woodstock Square offer local author’s latest novel

If you’re looking for a book by a local author, Rich Rostron’s new novel of historical fiction, The Ghost of Lexington and Concord, is easy to find in The Historic Woodstock Square. Not only is The Square a great holiday destination with Christmas lights that are a must see, but it’s also an ideal location for Christmas Shopping.

Three locations in The Square offer Rostron’s novels (including his first novel of historical fiction, The Burning Sea of Iron Bottom Bay). They are the bookstore Read Between the Lynes, My Little Bow Peeps Shop, and MD Trains.

Read Between the Lynes (129 E. Van Buren Street) has a wide selection of books for all ages and in a wide range of genres. Rostron’s novels are coming-of-age tales written for middle-school and older young adults. However, many adults have also reported that they enjoyed reading the books.

My Little Bow Peeps Shop (102 Cass Street) is a boutique with thoughtfully designed and handmade outfits for babies, toddlers and even adults. It also offers miniature Christmas villages and a wide variety of appealing gifts and decorations.

MD Trains (124 Cass Street), of course, offers model trains. All the major manufacturers of model trains, in most scales, are available here. It’s also an excellent location for other types of models, from aircraft to ships, and from cars to other vehicles. The shelves include Rostron’s novels as well as other books.

In The Burning Sea of Iron Bottom Bay, a US Navy veteran shares his experiences in WWII with his great-grandson. The Ghost of Lexington and Concord, however, is too long ago for even a great-great-grandfather to share the story. But a ghost from the opening battle does just fine.

Of course, both books are more than history lessons. “In The Ghost of Lexington and Concord, three middle schoolers will have to work together to solve a centuries old mystery,” said Rostron. “And they’ll have to work together if they hope to survive the adventure.”

Matt Drennan, owner of MD Trains, holds both of local author Rich Rostron’s novels, The Ghost of Lexington and Concord and The Burning Sea of Iron Bottom Bay. Both are available in the store.
