🌼 The awakening of spring ~ with a side of mourning
Off Trail Vermont is nearing it's second birthday and simultaneously approaching it's demise. This isn't a death or an end, but an opportunity for rebirth.
And still, I grieve.
In 2017 I took a leap. I went to the Bellebuono School of Herbalism and earned my certificate in clinical herbalism and was fueled with the confidence to begin my own business.
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but I had passion and dedication and that felt like enough.
I have since reflected and can identify the waves I have experienced of total conviction and absolute disbelief in myself.
I don't suspect that is uncommon for you either.
Likely. it's a part of why you're here.
Almost 9 years later, multiple 'failed' businesses, personal and professional loss, being a victim of scam, starting from scratch more times that I can count and here we are.
Off Trail is trademarked in FL and I can't move forward with Off Trail Vermont without risk. This is a risk that future me doesn't feel is worth taking and current me doesn't have over 100k to buy (yes that is the asking price for a seemingly unused TM) 🙃
None of it matters, really.
Not in a melodramatic way.
In the deep knowing that it has never been about the name. It has never been about the product or the service.
It has, and always will be, about the purpose and the people.
My purpose here is to inspire creativity, authenticity and vulnerability. It's to connect over the multitude of ways in which we take on the world one messy and beautiful day at a time and then to give back in hopes of making life better for as many people as possible!
So, here in my sadness, I am finding light.
The love you all have shown me over the years allows me to find belief in my vision - once again - and with that loss of a name holds very little weight.
🌼 Bandanas aren't going anywhere!!!
OTV will transition into a new brand with the same integrity, commitment to giving back and sharing, but what that name will be - tbd!
Thank you so much for being here and if you have the next brand name for our small but freaking bold and mighty bandana brand drop them below! ♡♡♡
