The sun came out today and me and the kids ran to the beach to try out our new with wind assist! It’s easy to carry to the beach and set up is a breeze! As a single mom, E-A-S-E is needed for everything. We were able to enjoy the beach for several hours in shade and peace and quiet! I am Shibumi’s new biggest fan. A few weeks ago I showed up at my ex husband's house with his live in girlfriend and her daughter and my two children wearing matching pajamas to celebrate Christmas morning. I think I did it again. I met a guy and I really like him. DAMMIT. And now comes the flood of insecurities, errors in judgement, anxious attachment, self-doubt, self-loathing, emotional roller coaster rides, and the flurry of text threads with different girlfriends analyzing every text and phone call with said guy. This sounds terrible but the last few years I was married, I used to dream of being single. Alone. Not having to answer to a man. Not having to worry about checking in with someone to tell them when I was up, out and about, or home. Coming and going as I pleased, free as a bird. Tonight the kids and I put up our 2023 Christmas tree. ....I didn't grow up celebrating Christmas. In fact, the first Christmas I ever celebrated was with Bryan in 2012. My first and "our" first Christmas. I've written this blog post at least seventy five times now. Maybe 76 is the charm.
