Many of the seasoned local road runners will remember Gail Eisenhart. She participated in most of the road running events in the York and surrounding areas for years. She was a back-of-the-pack runner for sure, and kept us out there on the course longer than we cared to be there. But bless her heart, she was a loyal participant and enjoyed herself. Gail just finished the race of life. her obituary is listed below. May she Rest In Peace!
Gail E. Eisenhart Obituary
Gail Eileen Eisenhart, born on December 12, 1950, passed away on April 17, 2026. She was preceded in death by her brother, Philip C. Eisenhart, and her beloved parents, June I. (Daugherty) Eisenhart and Carl C. Eisenhart.
Gail was a graduate of York Suburban High School (1968) and York College of Pennsylvania. Gail had a spirit of adventure that might have surprised some that knew her. She was an avid traveler in her younger years, enjoyed skiing at Ski Roundtop and found joy in participating in 5K runs in her later years. She was a true fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies, and would mark her calendar with start times to avoid missing games on television
Gail had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly her black and white Boston Terrier, Sam. The bond they shared was exceptional, and when Sam passed, she honored his memory by welcoming another Boston Terrier into her life, that she also named Sam.
There will be no public services, and burial will take place at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery at the family’s convenience. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.

Her legacy of love for animals will continue through these contributions.
