Today was a special day, and although I could probably write a short novel, I'll try to make it brief.
It's been 32 years too long since I've visited my favorite Hawaiian island of Kauai. Years ago I spent time here and the highlight of my trip was the zodiac tour with .andys .
Over the years I've told my children about the island, it's unmatched beauty, and the zodiac tour of the Nā Pali Coast, and today I was able to share it with 2 of my children.
We saw a humpback whale (huge surprise), sea turtles, loads of dolphins and other marine life. The craggy green cliffs, waterfalls, and sea caves were breathtaking.
But what made it so special were the people we spent it with. Strangers at 7:30am and friends by 12:30pm, thanks to our talented, intelligent, and absolutely FUN crew. Logan and Victoria took strangers on a raft, got to know us all, were engaged, knowledgeable, and made us feel like family.
We laughed until it hurt, sang to some great tunes, played air guitar, got extremely wet from the waves, and took Logan's advice and got a bite to eat at a local restaurant that turned out to be the best smash burger we'd ever eaten.
We will see you again next year .andys , but with our own crew of 9. We will be requesting Logan and Victoria as I know that our family will love them as much as we do.
Thanks again to Victoria and Logan for making this day special for me and my 2 adult children. I'll never forget this day, the beauty of the Coast, and the people we met.
