I am seeking a skilled illustrator to create consistent, high-quality artwork for a series of Santa Claus books (3 confirmed,
Project Scope
Style:
Books 1 & 2: Realistic illustrations
Book 3: Slightly cartoonish illustrations
Illustrations needed:
Full-page color plates (5–9 per book, one per story arc)
Half-page black & white illustrations (40 for Book 1, 60 for Book 2, 20 for Book 3)
Supplemental maps, character sheets, and location/environment concept art
Key Requirements
Ability to maintain character consistency across many illustrations
Strong experience with both realistic and fantasy art
Comfortable illustrating indoor and outdoor scenes (villages, forests, caverns, plazas, etc.)
Experience in illustrating mythical races (elves, dwarves, trolls, fairies, etc.) alongside humans
Deliver print-ready files (300 DPI, CMYK, high-resolution)
Characters & Settings
Santa Claus, elves (3 types), Bernard (half-elf), dwarves, trolls, humans, fairies, and reindeer
Recurring environments: Santa’s Village (Great Fir Tree, plaza, stage, stables), elven villages (tree houses, burrows, sturdy homes), dwarven caverns, troll forests, and human fishing/timber villages
