This is the largest two-day festival in Central California with over 140,000 visitors and hundreds of craft and food vendors, beer garden, live music, and even a kids zone with carnival rides! New mini abalone shell sun catchers! Each piece is handcrafted, one crystal at a time, with a mix Vera Cruz Amethyst and Madagascar Quartz, all brass components, and 30% leaded crystal prisms.

Pink amethyst is a fairly new discovery from Southern Brazil and is considered rare. It is a variant of amethyst that gets it colors from hematite inclusions. The pattern and color variations can range from a soft-hue of lilac to amethyst purples, to a spanning range of pink to a deeper-toned sometimes even peachy-red-pink. Veracruz Amethyst is among the most collectible of all amethyst crystals as existing mines are producing fewer and fewer specimens and there is only one locality, in the tiny village of Piedra Parada in Mexico's Veracruz-Llave state. Most amethyst occurs as geode linings or stubby type crystals, but not Veracruz! Veracruz has superb elongated amethyst crystal formation. The crystals are typically transparent with heavier coloration near the terminations. Color intensities vary from a pale lilac to lavender, to a violet and royal purple. Strikingly beautiful in my opinion.
These are photos of a specimen out of my personal collection. Big size clusters like this are extremely hard to obtain. However, I do have 2 Veracruz specimens currently available, and one flat of small and one of medium sized clusters in stock. Just need to find the time to photograph them all!
