Hi!! 👋 I’m Erica, and from now on I’ll be the solo operator of Zenya ✨Zenya was actually the brain child of my bff, and everything we created up until now had been a team effort, but trying to run a business together halfway across the world from each other just wasn’t practical 🥲 and just with life happening to both of us, our presence online came to a complete stop.

Actually, this is the last photoshoot we did—almost exactly two years ago— and I’m pregnant with my second child here! Being a mom of two, working, and also recently starting a fundraiser .friends for my friend , I had little time left to spend on our socials!

But, my dreams for Zenya never left my heart or mind and I’m ready to REVIVE them! I’m finally feeling ready to recreate and relaunch Zenya! I’m temporarily closing the website now to make some big changes and on our socials— you’ll be seeing a lot more of around Tokyo, around Japan, and a lot more of me 😇 So, as we say in Japan, yoroshiku onegaishimasu! (Thanks in advance!)

Hosting a dinner party and want to impress your friends with correct sake etiquette? Here are some tips one should keep in mind:

1. Always be sure to pour sake for others and allow someone else to pour and fill your sake cup!

2. When it’s your turn to receive sake be sure to hold the o-choko in the palm of your hand and with the other free hand steady the cup with your fingers. Grace and elegancy is everything.

3. Don’t forget to place two hands on the tokkuri (small sake bottle) when pouring sake into others o-choko (sake cup).

4. Before everyone raises their cups to kanpai make sure everyone has been served.

Today I am downsizing my closets! Lately I’m in such a mood to clear out anything that isn’t serving me to make room for more of what’s meant for me 😊 Taking any old clothes to my nearest second hand shop and keeping only what’s really special for me.

My way of buying clothes has really changed- I can really understand and appreciate the value of buying quality over quantity. I would way rather have a small closet with a few things that I love and cherish than an overflowing closet of things I probably won’t wear often and that just causes me stress.

I just want to keep and wear things that are timeless and classic and could (over)last my lifetime! 💎
