Is a dry spot under your saddle pad bad news?
💡 The Golden Rule: It’s all about the size and type of the spot. It can be hard to know what is a problem and what is normal uneven sweat… Here's a tip to get your thinking.

✅ Large Dry Zones: If the dry area is broad, it’s usually nothing to worry about.
Our VersaFit™ pads feature breathable IDX cores and a tec-felt underside that wicks sweat away and downward. Combined with a non-breathable closed-cell shim, a broad dry area just means the pad is doing its job!

⚠️ The Pressure Spot: If you spot a small, distinct dry circle/patch the size of a silver dollar or a little larger (think a small donut), that is a concern. It means you have a focal point of HIGH pressure that is stopping sweat production. This can lead to permanent damage in the form of 'white hairs' on your horse's coat if you don't act NOW.

Why the "Tape Measure & Gullet Measurement" is Failing Your Horse 🐴📏
We get asked all the time: "What is the measurement across the gullet in inches?"
It’s a fair question, but here’s the honest truth: Measuring straight across the gullet is actually somewhat meaningless.
If you’ve been struggling to find a saddle that fits, here is why that single number isn't giving you the full story:

🔥🐴 Spring is in full bloom! Has your saddle/saddle pad had the dust off, ready for a few big seasons of riding?
HERE IS YOUR SADDLE CARE CHECKLIST to ensure you and it remain in top form in warmer weather.

• Give your Saddle Pad/Cinches regular cleaning through the seasons
• Keep saddles out of the sun where possible
• Clean dust/dirt from leather before it dries it out
• Nourish + protect to prevent cracking
• Wax Wear, if you have it, should be cleaned and re-impregnated with wax
• Brush sweat + dirt from felt/fleece undersides
• Use a dehumidifier in humid climates
