I'm extremely proud of it and it's a beautiful way for a child to say "Thank You" to a mum, dad, nana, papa etc as the cover can be personalised with the recipient's title as well as the rhyming verses inside. Hello... It's been a little while since I told you what I've been up to at Hush the Moon but I've been quietly, behind the scenes, illustrating a book.

This book, unfortunately, will not be ready in time for Mother's Day this Year but it doesn't have to be for Mother's Day.

Actually, my vision for this book is for all parents including mums, dads, expecting parents, grandma, grandpa, grandparents and anything else you wish.

It features Aussie animals, birds and sea creatures with parent and baby in their own beautifully illustrated environment.

So... the book can be personalised for the recipient and it's from a child.

The title on the cover can be changed, for example, "A Father's Love", "A Grandmother's Love" etc

Each double page spread includes the main illustration accompanied with a beautiful poem which will touch the heart strings of all parents.

Wouldn't this make the cutest set for Santa and his reindeer, offering them a little treat, on their busiest night of year?

This would be fun to put out on Christmas Eve with hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies (Santa's favourite) and of course some carrots for Rudolph and his reindeer friends.

This is coming along really nicely and I’ve decided that this is going to be a large wall decal set as an advent Calendar. I’ve had this idea for a while now and the idea is that I will create a Winter Wonderland backdrop with 25 separate stickers which children will add to every day to build the scene. Stay tuned and I need to get it finished in time.

After a slightly stressful week of my laptop dying on me, I had to purchase a new one and load everything onto it again with e-mails, passwords etc. (groan). I’m sure you can relate. So… to relax today, I felt like drawing Santa in watercolours.
