Well, I’m not going to prolong it anymore, and you probably saw it coming - I’m sad to announce that I’m officially retiring Lavender Moon Fiber Co.
I honestly knew it was time to call it quits as soon as I uploaded my last post a week ago.

I sincerely and completely appreciate everyone who’s made a purchase or showed support over the last three years.

Attempting to run this side business just doesn’t jive with my job, finances, or personal goals right now.
I’m rotten at marketing, Instagram makes it difficult and discouraging, and over the last year I’ve been inevitably lost in the sea of other talented dyers who have what it takes to make it work. I don’t have what it takes.

I’ll still keep my dyeing supplies and will likely dabble from time to time, but I can’t guarantee if the shop will reopen in the future. Maybe in a few years I’ll have my s**t together and can take another shot at this 🤞🏻

This Instagram account will remain active, but the username will be changing and it’ll become a personal page. I’ll probably post a lot more and show my true weirdo colors now that it’s a personal account.
I’d love for us to stay buds and for you to continue following me, but no hard feelings if you don’t!

Once again and for a final time, THANK YOU EVERYONE for EVERYTHING while I kept making changes and tried to sort out this mess.
I can’t believe how many of you enjoyed my work, and I’m forever grateful 💜💜

Popping in to let you know the yarn is on sale! It’s actually a bit of an inventory clearance sale. Yep, still struggling over here 🫠

Once switching over to Etsy, I wasn’t planning on ever doing a sale again. I think my yarn is worth the full price, and I thought sales would increase again on Etsy.
But sadly, sales are still terrible and I only seem to sell my yarn if it IS on sale. And I get it, everything is so expensive right now.

So, if you can and would like to, please buy my yarn - buy it all.
I’m hoping to clear out what’s listed.

I’m still not completely throwing in the towel with Lavender Moon though.
There are some skeins I still need to list, and I still have some bare DK and Worsted that I can dye. But I’m out of my sock base and can’t afford to buy more.
I’m hoping if I can clear out the current inventory and get a wee bit of cash in then I can justify keeping this thing going.

Happy Spring 🌷
Just popping in to say hi and that I’m still lurking.

I’ve been enjoying slowing my life down and working on self-care, and focusing solely on the day job has been good for me.
No dyeing, not really selling anything, but I’m where I’m supposed to be.
I do still have yarn for sale on Etsy, and the link is in my bio if you’re in the market.

The thumb and ankle haven’t really improved, and unfortunately now I’m grieving the loss of Pig. So, I’m not quite sure when I’ll get back into dyeing and posting consistently.

The surprise project I’ve been working on is finally ready!!
I’ve teamed up with to make some Valentine’s Day advents! But they’re not what you’d normally think of for Valentine’s Day- these advents are all about loving YOURSELF!

The Love Yourself advents are set up for 14 days.
Each box will have seven hand dyed skeins (one full sized and six minis) and seven days of fun little treats.

It’s been very grey and dreary here the last few days, so here’s a yarn photo to match the weather. The colorway is called Haunted - a steely blue with splashes of greyish green.

Happy Yule!

I’ve decided I need to take little yarn rest until the new year. Work is still super busy and I’m just drained from it 🫠

The shop is still open, but I won’t be dyeing any pre-orders or doing anything new during my break.
Instead of the 3-4 week turnaround for dyed-to-order, please allow 4-5 weeks before your order is shipped.
Shipping will also be pushed back for in-stock items and those orders will be shipped the first week of January.
