CLOSED FOR NOW 🙃

Hi there,
I just wanted to say thank you for each and every order, like, share, comment and words of support since starting this venture in 2021.
The website is now closed for orders and will remain closed until the new owner takes the reigns hopefully in the coming months. Someone will be taking over Louie & Sage which I hope to announce soon!

Hey guys,

I just want to thank each and every one of you who have been on this journey with me since 2021. For all of the wonderful customers and love and support. I’ve learnt so much and have enjoyed the journey.

Our online store will be closed in just 3.5 weeks on Sunday 24th March. You will no longer be able to purchase unless someone chooses to buy the stock and take over.

Sooo…….(Better late than never right 😝) let’s do a cost break down of using cloth nappies vs disposables.

For part time cloth nappy use it would cost you (6-12 nappies), between $126 - $252 (approx), that’s if you choose our prints, it would be even cheaper should you buy our solid colour.

For full time day use (15-24 nappies), it would cost between $315 - $503 (approx & again based on price of our printed nappies).

As an example if you were to use any of the popular disposable nappy brands such as rascal & friends/huggies, and your child went through 5 nappies a day (including night) you’re looking at approximately $3640 from birth to 2 years (even more if they’re toilet training later and usually a lot more nappies are used in the new born days). And this is for one child! Add more children and this cost doubles, triples etc
WHEREAS you can reuse cloth nappies if they’re well cared for, for multiple children.

Hang your inserts to dry in the winter sun is a great way to speed up the drying process. But please ensure you don’t hang your shells in the sun as this can deteriorate the waterproof outer of the shell.
Surprisingly our shells still dry super quickly in winter in the shade.

Winter Nappy Drying Tips

1. Hang your inserts outside in the sun. Alternatively if it’s raining hang them outside under cover.

2. Hang them inside near heater (but at a safe distance) or near an open window in a light uncarpeted room with airflow (a dehumidifier is a good idea in this scenario).

3. Hang your nappies on an octopus peg holder or Loomey and at a higher height.

4. Have extra inserts on hand to allow for longer drying times.

5. Use a dryer if needed and available but do not tumble dry your shells (they still dry quite quickly even inside). They may delaminate in the dryer.
