I opened my sketchbook up this evening, to draw up designs for a product, and found a series I had started after my Dad passed away.

Sometimes life hits you right in the feels.

In case it needs explaining, my Dad loved hats, and this reddish brown one with the feather sticking out was a favourite.

Got a new toy...darning/embroidery foot, also know as free motion.

I'm hoping I improve by Christmas 🤣

Also I did make a really simple mistake on this one, which probably would have helped 🤦‍♀️

Hello, and Good evening,

It's been a while and I am hoping that some of you will see this (thanks algorithms!) But I just wanted to say hello and provide a little update.

You see, I am a little lost, creatively, at the moment. Writers block for artists/sewists/crafters. With the changing of the rules coming very soon, I'm not sure there will be much need for my facemasks, and the creative block suddenly seems that much more void of ideas.

Not only that but time has been a bit tight, since we are fortunate enough for Kris to be at work, my time is spent being a Mum. But we've also had some pretty awful times of late. But this isn't a sympathy post, and all is well now after a health scare with Rupert, our littlest. But it made me very angry, upset, anxious, on top of losing Dad in December, I was feeling very bitter. And so, the time I have had spare to sew and create, I have sewn for myself instead.

Now to the positive bit: I am not going anywhere, and I have every intention of creating again. I will begin producing works for you to enjoy again soon. I have no idea where I will begin, but thank you for sticking around.

Laaaaaanden Town ❤

I do miss visiting London. Mr H gets to travel about a fair bit, and enjoy the London streets when they are so quiet. The last time I went to London was my birthday before Rupert was born...so October 2019. It was great, I was a real tourist for the day, though we missed our Big Red Bus Tour 🤦‍♀️ Another time perhaps!

So, I have FINALLY added a new listing to my Etsy shop. It has only taken about a million years. It is these two gorgeous zipper pouches 13cmx12.5cm approx, the link to my Etsy shop is in my bio 🛒

Honestly, it was the description I was procrastinating over. But thankfully they have a handy app, so I'm sitting here in bed, as a baby sandwich (E had a bad dream - watching A Bugs Life when she has serious issues with bugs was always going to be risky! But she enjoyed it, and can you believe that film came out in 1998!! I could go on, but I won't)

Easter Weekend! Almost 😅

As a Mum I definitely fly by the seat of my pants and this is no exception. Whilst Roo has a quick nap and Emily is playing nicely, I've thrown together some "eggs" for our Easter egg hunt in the garden this weekend.

From cereal box refuse to oddly shaped eggs 🐰🥚 sprucing them up a bit with Emily's water colours and some lovely washi tape from let's be honest, it's great on everything 🤣

Not my finest crafting, but I wanted to say hello 👋 and...

Happy Friyay!

Today is my Saturday, as Kris is off today and tomorrow. It's been tough finding time to sew, but I have had a chance today, so I started a patchwork cushion cover for Emily and I finished this lined zipper pouch, which I am super pleased with.

It isn't yet online but will be very soon.
