We still have a little under three weeks before we head back to the UK but with an off road vehicle booked for the last leg we will be spreading our wings and venturing north and west in the country. ( We’ve been travelling with old buses and a bit of thumbing lifts until now)
Yesterday I was sloth spotting in our village
Such gentle creatures who choose to hang around very high up in trees hence the poorer resolution on the photos. I could spend hours looking up at them
They always look like handbags in the branches I think. Maybe that’s why I spot them quite well 🌴🎶❤️🤓🦥🎶

We’re half way through our two month adventure in Costa Rica and it has exceeded our expectations as usual.

Our wonderful 2 months of adventures in Costa Rica are underway and I smuggled some yarns into my rucksack! Sock knitting on tiny circular needles that fit into my bag…waiting for a bus to take us south and then plodging in the Pacific with a set of scrappy socks on my needles. These peace and quiet moments are perfect to grab a few stitches.

My wee online shop is now closed until the end of March 2026 as my lovely ( adventurous) husband treks me through the jungles, waves and natural beauty of wonderful Costa Rica. It keeps me warm and I meet the most incredible people and wildlife. Tiny Knitting is packed so I’ll be keeping my fingers and brain tuned
I’ll no doubt be posting some pictures to keep you feeling warmer and smiling.

No sewing for me this evening just a wee Christmas tune on my lovely piano. Gotta keep those fingers nimble!

Let’s talk Christmas trees …
I have no notion of when we SHOULD put them up or take them down, and indeed this year I have not decorated one at all … I’ve got red and white fairy lights on a tall friendly rubber plant called Echino … there’s a felt woodpecker on the top and a tiny golden acorn. But I remember moving into this house 20 years ago the week before Christmas and I had the biggest Christmas tree in the world (tall ceilings) with all the tinsel I could throw at it, surrounded by boxes and nowhere to sit !
What are your decorations like this year? Traditional? Maximal? Minimal? Same same? Or Grinch flavoured?!
