Next up are a couple of projects I did for some Air Force friends!!

First up is a little body suit for my friends who just welcomed baby #3. They’ve had quite the adventure the past couple of months so I hope they can get several wears out of this one.

And next is some suck pads for a baby carrier. This is also for a sweet family who added baby #3 to their family last year. Baby wearing is a life saver for some, and this will help keep those straps clean and dry!

I can share these now that they have been gifted. I had the honor and privilege to give these to a dear friend who is welcoming her first baby this year! I love how these turned out, and I hope they feel the same. Hannah and Brent, I’m so happy for you two and I can’t wait for y’all to meet your little guy!!

Today was pajama day at school for the sisters. I bought this fabric years ago with the intent to make pjs and then life happened. They found it this year and begged for some pjs. They’ve grown since I ordered it so I was worried if there would be enough for two sets of pjs. I had two VERY happy girls this morning!! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Life has been a bit chaotic for the last 6 months and I’m a little (ok A LOT) behind on sharing my makes. We’ve settled into our new home/city/state and are navigating our new post Air Force life and routines. I’ve got my sewing station set up, and I’m happy to not have to move it anytime soon!!

I’ve had the opportunity to make some baby items for a family friend, a quilt for the oldest sister, and some new items for our baby cousin who is now 1!! Here are some pictures of the last few months of making, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

1-5: Baby gifts for a sweet family friend’s first baby!! Welcome Winslie, we’re so glad you’re here!!
6: Moon phases quilt for the oldest sister’s birthday. She loves space and the phases of the moon so I let her pick out the material for this project.
7-10: Birthday gifts for Elliott on his first birthday. The ACU outfit is made from one of his Daddy’s baseball shirts. 💜

My husband will be retiring from the AF soon so I’m working on a special project for him. I’ve never done much quilting, and foundation paper piecing seemed so hard to me. I did A LOT of practicing, and had to restart several times. I’m really proud of this one though!

We spent our Saturday showering the parents to be with gifts, and now I get to share my most recent project with you!!

I made a piece for each size for the newest addition and I am so happy with how they turned out. We’re so excited for Colton and Hannah to welcome their sweet little boy into the world. I just know you’ll be fantastic parents, and I can’t what to see what God has planned for your little one.

I mailed these sweet matching shirts today!! I can’t wait for these brothers to match each other. I don’t get the opportunity to sew for boys very often, so this was a super fun project. The fabric is super soft, and the dinos are great!!

This project has been a LONG time in the making and it’s finally finished!! It’s been about 15 years since I graduated from WT, and I have always planned to do this with some shirts.

Raise your hand if you have ever had the “that’s way too expensive” thought when someone told how much a quilt or t-shirt quilt was going to cost to make. 🙋🏻‍♀️ I have been that person before but let me tell you something, I was wrong. After taking this on I firmly believe the person charging you is probably not charging enough!! It is worth every penny they say it is, take my word for it.

This project was wayyyyy more than I expected and boy was it a CHALLENGE. It was much more physically tiring than I thought, and took much longer to finish. It is far from perfect but I’m proud of myself. I kept going and learned lots along the way.

The next project I have lined up is something I’m much more comfortable with….BABY CLOTHES!
