So......had an unexpected invite to stay over with friends, to eat, drink and be socially distant but sadly I had no provisions with me. This got me thinking and with the help of my friend and my daughter, came up with.............The 'ONE bag' (One Night Emergikit). A small handmade bag that stays in your car complete with toothbrush and paste, comb, earplugs and a sachet of shampoo. (Double up for a couple!). And clean pants, you supply these! All for £15.00 (+p&p). Great idea for Christmas or birthday gifts!

Here's selection of little bags I've been making. I intend to have a stall at a Christmas fair at some point but hey, who knows what's going to happen? Most are individual. £10.00 each. Great little gifts. Can be filled with a sewing kit, or knick knacks or whatever you like.

I wanted to see how to put together a weighted blanket and what was needed to get the correct amount of weight in each pocket.
The question of whether blankets can be made bigger/weigh more as the child grows was a tricky one. I put together 4 squares, filled it with poly pellet and put a binding on. Then unpicked the binding and tried to add more pockets. Many errors were made, much unpicking was done and it ended up being more trouble than it was worth. But then, I thought about the calico blanket that goes in a separate duvet cover.....velcro would be the answer! Create a totally separate blanket and velcro it to the original, slip them both into a duvet cover. Simple!

Thank you to everyone who has spoken to me about my quilts.
I am in the process of making a weighted blanket (brilliant for those people suffering from anxiety, insomnia, stress and Restless Leg Syndrome. Particularly good for children with, ADHD, Autism and other sensory issues.) When it's finished I'll post a picture.
