One of the many things I often hear from people who have experienced Aerial Yoga for the first time is the wonderful feeling of deep relaxation they experience afterwards. This is certainly also due to the final relaxation in the fabric, when the fabric envelops you like a cocoon, creating a low-stimulus environment. The fabric molds itself around your body, carrying and supporting you. This creates a sense of safety and security that is necessary for complete surrender and relaxation.

What is the added value of MyoYin compared to regular Yin Yoga?

By using the balls and self-massage, we create external pressure that acts on the more superficial layers of the soft tissue. With the Yin Yoga poses, we tense the muscle and connective tissue from within, allowing us to stimulate and relax the deeper layers. Both techniques can be practiced separately, but by combining them, we can enhance the effects. Blood circulation, hydration, and metabolism improve in the target area we are working on, improving mobility and cell function. The massage also stimulates the release of endorphins, which helps reduce tension and any associated pain.

The Downward Facing Dog pose in the Aerial Yoga hammock can help relieve some of the pressure on the arms and shoulders. On the other hand, the hammock will massage the front of the hips, stimulating the hip flexors (including the psoas).

One of the biggest advantages of Aerial Active Flow is the ability to perform full inversions without putting any pressure on the spine. These inverted poses literally turn everything upside down, not only physically, but also emotionally and mentally. They are poses of surrender. Trusting the material, letting go, surrendering to gravity.

Because we can perform these poses without any strain, the entire spine can truly relax. This includes all the muscles of the back, the muscles in the shoulders, and the neck. In addition, the daily pressure on the intervertebral discs is also relieved. All of this helps to create more relaxation in the entire spine and the entire back line of the body.

Aerial Yoga not only works on strength, but also on mobility and flexibility. In addition, we don't just work on the large muscle groups; often, without even being aware of it, we also work on the intrinsic, supporting muscles that play a crucial role in balance and coordination.
The hammock can be quite reflective, as well: what you give, you often get back from the fabric. The more you dare to trust it, the more stability you will receive in return. In combination with gravity, the hammock presents a wonderful challenge, both physically and mentally!

Do you need to have lofty goals or a grand purpose in your life? Maybe not. Purpose is imagined and assigned by ourselves.

Life may not have any inherent purpose.

You may very well live quite happily without a purpose or the need to create one. Instead, it can be more like when I used to ride my motorcycle. I would get on and set out on the road with no destination or purpose in mind. The point was not to get anything done or accomplish anythingโ€ฆit was simply to enjoy the ride.

So perhaps all we need to do is be ourselves and enjoy the ride of life.
