Cheap thrills and the power of AI - no more sprinting around the house trying to photograph myself wearing jewellery at odd angles because you (fairly) wanted to know what it looks like on an actual human being. Still learning the ropes though - every now and then the AI gets carried away and decides it, too, is a jewellery designer and casually adds a few creative liberties I never asked for. But overall? We’re getting somewhere. At least now you get a much better sense of the piece, the scale, and how it actually wears.

Cheap thrills and the power of AI - no more sprinting around the house trying to photograph myself wearing jewellery at odd angles because you (fairly) wanted to know what it looks like on an actual human being. Still learning the ropes though - every now and then the AI gets carried away and decides it, too, is a jewellery designer and casually adds a few creative liberties I never asked for. But overall? These images popped up while I was organising old albums - the very first couple of Bee's Knees pieces I hand-crafted a gazillion years ago.

No editing apps. No aesthetic backgrounds. No clue, frankly. These 'masterpieces' were photographed on my bedroom floor because… that was the available studio space.

And yet, some of you looked at these blurry little hopefuls and said, “Yes, I’d like to buy that.” Absolute legends, the lot of you. What were you thinking😲??

No reels, no viral audio, no “link in bio”. Just handmade jewellery and blind confidence.

The sweetest part? Some of you from those days are still here - still supporting, still collecting, still part of this wonderfully strange little journey. Keeps me grounded… and mildly emotional.

Considering I have the entire Bee’s Knees inventory at my disposal, it’s mildly ridiculous that these are the earrings I reach for over and over again. Ginormous South Sea pearls hanging off my heritage Basra pearls — drama and deliciousness in one glorious pair.
Tell me I’m not alone in this? Drawers full of earrings, yet the same faithful 2 or 3 pairs keep winning every single time.
